How does the test work?
The finger poke test requires a simple finger poke, and works by detecting the presence of the COVID-19 antibodies for past or present infection. *Current infection may appear in blood within 3-5 days (IgM). Antibodies for past infection occur after 1-2 weeks, and may linger for several months after infection.
The rapid nose test is a swab to the back of the nose and is similar to currently used rapid flu or rapid strep throat test with results in 10 min.
Who is the test for?
The IgG test is for anyone who thinks they may have had COVID-19 and have since recovered; for anyone who has had contact with someone who tested positive for the virus; for healthcare workers, or for anyone who regularly comes into contact with large numbers of people each day. The rapid Nose test is for anyone who is currently symptomatic or has had close on going contact with the virus.
What are the symptoms of COVID-19?
Symptoms can include fever, shortness of breathe/difficulty breathing, cough, pink eye, and/or loss of taste or smell. Symptoms vary and are continuing to change. Basically flu-like symptoms.
Will my insurance cover the testing?
No. This test is not covered by ANY insurance.
How much does the test cost?
The rapid finger poke test is $40 for Members, $80 for Non-Members. And includes a discussion with the provider for immune boosting strategies.
The rapid nose test is $50 for members. For non-members and Medicare B original patients it is $65 for test only. For an Evisit from your car and test it is $80 for non-members.

Quest PCR NAAT Nasal Tests
Update 11/23/20: We have a limited number of these tests. We will not be ordering these tests UNTIL the following criteria has been met: including high fever, shortness of breath, first ruling out other respiratory illnesses with testing AND direct contact with someone who tested positive AND multiple chronic health conditions.
If you are under the 45 years old without chronic medical issues, and are experiencing respiratory symptoms that are manageable, please self-quarantine for a minimum of 14 days. This is also true if you have exposure to a confirmed case. Testing negative won’t change the 14 day quarantine. It is not possible to test everyone that has respiratory symptoms, so it is imperative that we treat all symptomatic people as possible carriers.
